Criteria for Receiving Services: Bear River Health Department offers Car Seat Clinics by appointment on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of every month from 1:00 p.m. to 2:20 p.m. in the Logan office. The Brigham City office also offers clinics on the 3rd Thursday of the month from 1:00 p.m to 2:20 p.m. During this clinic a certified car seat technician will assist you in properly installing your car seat and answer any questions you may have. 

Buckle Up Events are held periodically throughout the year in coordination with other community partners. These events provide an opportunity for parents and caregivers to purchase a car seat and learn how to properly install it. Please call to know more about the next Buckle Up event in your community


Additional Information: Spanish speaking available upon request. Remember it is a law for children to be in a car seat or booster seat until they are 8 years old. Always remember to read and follow the vehicle and car seat owner’s manuals and car seat labels.

Additional Information: All services are confidential. Treatment services are also available in Spanish, including assessment, DUI or MIP classes, and individual sessions and groups. Counselors are also available to talk to families and friends of someone using or abusing alcohol and/or drugs.  We can assist in answering questions about the warnings signs of use, consequences of use, and tips in dealing with someone who may be addicted.

Criteria for Receiving Services: You do not need a referral to obtain services from the Single, Expectant Parent Program. You may call or drop by the office. We serve all pregnant, unmarried women regardless of religion or age.

Fees: None. All services are free.

Additional Information: Our program is designed to assist unmarried women who are pregnant. This program is free and available to all women regardless of religion or age. Professional female counselors who are experienced with crisis pregnancy issues will help clients explore their options including: marriage, single parenting and adoption. A support/education group is held weekly for girls and their parents. Financial and legal assistance is available in some cases. Assistance in finding an excellent physician, medical insurance, and helpful community resources is also provided. For those interested in adoption, full adoption services are available--including access to hundreds of eligible, carefully screened adoptive families.

Criteria for Receiving Services: Women who are pregnant, breastfeeding or have just had a baby. Infants or children up to 5 years of age. Families must live within our service area and meet income guidelines--bring proof of income, residency and identification to qualify. Those who receive Food Stamps or Medicaid will qualify.

Additional Information: Those who qualify receive vouchers for healthy foods, redeemable at participating stores. Nutrition education and health screenings are provided at visits. Individual nutritional counseling provided for participants, based on need. USU Marriage and Family Therapy Clinic

Hours of Operation: Appointments are available during both daytime and evening hours.

Procedure for Connecting with the Service: After deciding to seek marital and family services from the Family Therapy Clinic, the first step is to call (435)797-7430. During the first contact, a clinic staff member will ask you a few questions and schedule an appointment for your first session.

Fees: Fees are determined on a sliding fee scale based on income and family size. Fees are paid at the time of each appointment. No one will be denied services because of inability to pay.

Additional Information: Because the Marriage & Family Therapy Clinic is a training facility, graduate students in marriage and family therapy conduct the therapy sessions. While conducting therapy, the therapists-in-training are under the direct supervision of clinical faculty members who are all licensed Marriage and Family Therapists. All services at the Family Therapy Clinic are confidential and private.
